Las Gallinas September 2011

I happened to be up in Napa at a work social and it would have been rude to have gone all that way without paying a quick visit to Las Gallinas. In fairness, I wasn't that close to the lake and it was ridiculously hot, so it wasn't the best day in the world. Still, the ponds were full of birds, mainly northern pintails, but I also managed to get a couple of pictures of the following:

  • Black-Necked Stilt
  • Brewer's Blackbird
  • California Quail
  • Canada Goose
  • Lesser Yellowlegs
  • Mallard
  • Mottled Duck
  • Northern Harrier
  • Northern Pintail
  • Northern Shoveler
  • Snowy Egret
