The circuit is known for its fast corners, tight hairpins and narrow track that provides limited overtaking opportunities. The circuit is also known for its beachside location and the challenging Tarzanbocht (Tarzan corner) which is considered as one of the most famous corners in motorsport history. The circuit has undergone renovations in recent years to bring it up to modern safety standards and to improve the overall racing experience for drivers and fans alike.
