The turn of the Battery Pack
There's a big hill locally that I've done on my old bike, but I wanted to see if I could do it on my new one. The gearing is higher on the new one which concerned me a little, but more concerning is the fact that the new bike only has a front disc brake whereas the old bike has a front disc brake and then two rear disc brakes. Given that I have to stop and then crank up the hill, I was worried I'd start to roll backwards ... so I got William to come with me and follow me up so I'd run him over if I went backwards. Before the hill though, I figured I'd take William down the toboggan run as I call it given his bike's a kids bike and he probably wouldn't be able to keep up with me. Well, that may have been correct if it wasn't for the fact that the battery pack that charges the GoPro decided to fly out at the first opportunity. Crazy given it's wedged into a bottle holder, but there's always something flying off when I go out on this bike. Another quick note is that I had the GoPro angled high (not on purpose, just was), so I've moved the speed and rev counter to the side as opposed to being at the bottom. This may actually be a better place for them ... I'll think about it. Anyway, here are some timestamps:
