Corn Creek March 2011

Owen allowed me a short break on our NASCAR trip to go on a birding walk. More to my surprise was that he accompanied me and didn't get too bored (at least I don't think so). Anyway, a quick bit of research online revealed a place just up the road from Las Vegas called Corn Creek that has a sanctuary for big horn sheep. This apparently works quite well for birds too. We didn't get to see too much, but I did manage to get a couple of photos although not the best. Along with the tadpoles and gold fish, I managed to get an American Robin, Common Raven, Dark-Eyed Junko, Northern Flicker, Phainopepla, White Crowned Sparrow and Verdin.
