Cley Marsh August 2011

So, my main interest in going back to Blakeney was to see Cley Marsh given there are a lot of interesting birds that can be seen here. The main bird I wanted to see was a spoonbill and I wasn't disappointed, there were four of them and they were pretty active, flying around from one marsh to another. The other bird that is seen around here is the bearded tit and I wasn't so lucky with that one, although many people would say I took him with me. The photos didn't come out there best here due to the distance of some of the birds and the location of the sun to the hide. That said, the birds below are (to the best of my knowledge):

  • Barn Swallow
  • Black-Headed Gull
  • Great Cormorant
  • Pied Avocet
  • Pied Wagtail
  • Shelduck
  • Spoonbill
