2009 Sonoma Sprint Cup Race
Pictures from the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Infineon Raceway, Sonoma - Toyota / Save Mart 350. Race Results.
A couple of interesting photos at the beginning of this section with the air show. The two planes flying towards each other didn't collide, but it almost looks like they're destined to crash - pretty impressive display. The other is the parachutist that came in just over my head - the picture's actually taken from the hip as I didn't have time to try and focus on the subject. Didn't come out too bad, although it would have been better if you could see the person's face.
A great race won by Kasey Kahne. Tony Stewart would have also been a worthy winner for his drive. Kyle Busch looked like he was going to be in the running, but he wrecked about two thirds of the way through the race. Montoya had a good drive, but could only hold onto sixth position. Marcos Ambrose also deserves a mention for starting at the back of the grid and coming in third (his actual qualifying position).
