Thunderhill SSF Open September 2020

Another trip up to Thunderhill and there's still a crazy amount of smoke from the fires. It's pretty much cleared out of the Bay, but not so much as you move inland. Also crazy hot still which caused problems. I managed a personal best of 2:02.2 (down from 2:02.9) in my first session. Second session was black flagged and I didn't get any clear laps in. Third session was pretty good, but my temps hit 280 degrees which is on the red, so I came off track and decided to call it a day. The videos are pretty bad as I have half the holder blocking the lens. There was a Daytona Prototype on track in the first couple of session. There were also several Camaro ZL1's that were crazy quick. That's a nice car with a lot of horsepower. Pretty good value for money. I do think that GM has done a great job of focusing on track cars - I really want to see the new Corvette C8 on track. It looks amazing with that mid engine and I can't wait until they come out with a ZR1 version of it as that will be absolutely crazy.
