Mitchell Canyon May 2009

Karen decided that it would be more fun to park cars (I think this was some goodwill thing), so I took the little one on a hike to Mitchell Canyon. Probably not the best idea I've ever had as it was insanely hot. Lots of birds and other animal wildlife, but they were jumping from tree to tree in the bush so it was difficult to take any photos. The new bird of the week goes to Lawrence's Goldfinch. The only birds I managed to get pictures of are:

  • Acorn Woodpecker
  • Black Phoebe
  • California Quail
  • Dark-Eyed Junko
  • Lawrence's Goldfinch
  • Scrub Jay
  • Starling
  • Stellar's Jay
  • Western Bluebird
