Garin April 2010
My first trip out this year, excepting those over the Christmas holidays whilst my folks were in town. Not 100% sure why it's been this long - combination of weather and work I think. Anyway, I was rewarded with a pretty decent day by way of birds. Pretty poor day as far as weather - it was a bit gray and overcast. Pretty cold too given that I just went out in a T shirt, which was due to the fact that I got up really early to head out and didn't actually check what it looked like. I think the fact that I got to photograph four different Bullock's Orioles helped with the enjoyment as these are really nice birds. The birds photographed as follows:
- American Coot
- American Kestrel
- American Robin
- Black Phoebe
- Brewer's Blackbird
- Bullock's Oriole
- California Quail
- Double-Crested Cormorant
- House Finch
- Mallard
- Mourning Dove
- Red-Winged Blackbird
- Rufous Hummingbird (I think, could be an Allen's, but there was a note that Rufous had been seen here this week, so that's what I'm going with)
- Turkey Vulture
- Western Bluebird
- Wilson's Warbler
