Coyote Hills Common Moorhen January 2010

The final trip out whilst my folks were visiting. I'm not sure whether this is of interest or not, but we got to see a common moorhen. A bird that I've seen hundreds of given that they're very common in the UK, however, this is the first that I've seen here in the States. Birds photographed:

  • American Kestrel (not of the track as seen on the way in to the park)
  • American White Pelican
  • Black-Crowned Night-Heron

  • Golden Crowned Sparrow
  • Great Egret
  • Green Winged Teal
  • Killdeer
  • Northern Shoveler
  • Red-Tailed Hawk
  • Ruddy Duck
  • Scrub Jay
