What did you think when you voted last week?
Ooh, that's new was the clear winner with 56% of the votes selected from the following:
Yes indeed, I have been tinkering with the old website again. When you vote you are now taken to the vote page. So, if you really want to know, I've updated the post pages to redirect to another page. This prevents double posting if someone hits the back button as the back button won't take you anywhere after posting something (a vote or a comment as examples). I thought that when you posted a vote, the most natural page to send you to would be the vote page then you can see how others have voted. I then realized that most people would be voting from the email and that if you went to the vote page after voting, you'd have no way of knowing that your vote had registered - you'd just open the vote page and the most logical thing to think would be that you now needed to vote. If you did, you'd have got the error message that a vote had already been registered from your IP address. Anyway, I realized this very close to when the vote was going to go out and my quick solution was to create a pop up when you are redirected to the vote page. The popup itself doesn't actually mean you've voted, just that the redirect is telling it to display that popup. Seems to work though.
