Magic the Gathering (MTG) is a game I first came across while on vacation in Hawaii. I was there with my girlfriend, soon to become wife and later ex wife (ah, the circle of love) in 2002. Rivetted with her amazing conversation, I decided I needed to find something to do, so headed to a local game store to search for a game to play. Browsing through the selection of games I came across a Magic The Gathering Seventh Edition starter set and the description sounded intriguing, so I bought it. I immediately fell in love with the game as I could see the strategic side of it and then played for the next few years, buying lots of cards. Then, as always, work, life and everything got in the way of playing and I stopped.
Since retiring, I've met up with a buddy of mine that I played Pokémon Go with who plays MTG and my interest has been reborn. I've put together a database so I can record what cards I have and build decks. Most of the data and images I've used have been taken from Scryfall and I recommend anyone looking for card information to head there or go the official MTG site. If, however, you're interested in taking a peek around here, go ahead, but I can't guarantee how up to date information is, particularly what cards are legal in which format.
